I find beginnings are hard to come by; endings come a lot quicker than beginnings do in my opinion. By not even beginning something you’ve already have ended it and can move on, or so you think until you look back on it and are reminded that it’s not true, you haven’t really begun at all. I guess you could say I spend half my time having such tormenting thoughts that get me nowhere, that or just spending the other half of the time rotting my life away in meaningless acts. This does sound bleak, abysmal, and downright depressing, but in truth, I like to romanticize that I seek peace in life and a higher understanding, or at least ask for a fair life. My name is Orly Serpa, the name Orly originated as Hebrew I believe and means the “light is mine”. My parents had no intention of that, I was given the name Orly because my father is named Orlando…funny, my name is actually a nickname of someone else. How wonderful is that? I spend most of my time behind a computer screen, playing the number one mass-multiplayer online game known as World of Warcraft, infamously known for its power to drain souls. I like to believe that my soul has not been drained for lack there of. That takes up most of my time and watching the usual amount of anime. Occasionally, though not as of late, I do like to engulf myself in a good story or two but just haven’t set the time aside to do it, to my great dislike. I mean reading is important or should be to me. There is so much philosophy and history out there that I wish to use to have a better grasp on everything around me. Despite seeming to aspire to become an isolationist, I thrive on the company of others. When the opportunity arises, I enjoy being with friends and loved ones, even if it is merely just lounging on a couch and wasting away behind a television. No matter what a group of people might be doing, I feel there are a real connection and understanding and a true bond that forms. Though I might just be full of it and just be desperate for company, and probably dread the thought of being alone. Any who, I guess that wraps up a small portion of what could be me. Oh and I like pie and bacon, very much so. I’m not kidding; I really do like pie and bacon a lot. Call it an over dramatization.
